ListenKey: free BPM and key finder
ListenKey identifies tempo, musical key, Camelot code, and key confidence from uploaded tracks or secure microphone listen-in. Analysis runs locally in the browser, so audio does not need to be uploaded to Lunar Mansion AI.
Analyze one track or a batch
Choose MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, or Opus audio. ListenKey can analyze up to 24 tracks sequentially and organize completed readings in a combined tempo and key table.
Secure mic listen-in
Use microphone input to analyze a speaker, instrument, performance, or room reference. The captured signal stays in the active browser tab and is not saved to the service.
Export BPM and key to a DAW
Download a Standard MIDI file containing the detected tempo and Western key signature for drag-and-drop import into compatible DAWs, or export a batch CSV and cue sheet.
Supported audio and batch workflow
ListenKey accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, AIFF, FLAC, OGG, and Opus when the browser can decode the format. Drop one track for a focused reading or add up to 24 files for sequential analysis. Completed results appear in a combined table with track name, BPM, key, Camelot code, confidence, and individual DAW export actions.
Use ListenKey with Pro Tools and other DAWs
The MIDI export provides a tempo map and key-signature event in a standard file. Import that MIDI file into a compatible DAW such as Pro Tools and choose the DAW option that imports tempo information when prompted. The batch CSV and cue sheet provide portable references for session notes, collaborators, library preparation, and production handoffs.
Private by design
File decoding and signal analysis occur in the active browser session. A microphone capture also stays in the browser and is not saved by Lunar Mansion AI. No account or paywall is required. Results are analytical estimates, so producers should use the confidence reading and their own musical judgment when a recording has rubato timing, sparse percussion, key changes, noise, or an ambiguous tonal center.
